According to Mozzila's CEO Gary Kovacs the Firefox OS
will be launched in June. The Firefox OS will be available in five countries –
Poland, Portugal, Spain, Brazil and Venezuela. At the end of 2013 the Firefox
OS will be available in 11 countries. According to the Mozzila CEO they are
currently not interested for big, developed markets because the Firefox OS will
be available for Low-end devices. Firefox OS will be available on American
market somewhere around next year.
Currently Alcatel, Huawei, LG, ZTE and Sony are
interested for developing device with Firefox OS. All devices will be based on
Qualcomm Snapdragon processors. In addition to device manufacturers, Mozilla
has secured several major publishers of applications for their mobile OS, such
as Facebook, Twitter and EA Games.
