Nvidia will introduce
the new GeForce 700 series by the end of May. Of course, this is a card based
on the existing (or slightly modified) graphics chips Kepler architecture,
while the solution with the new architecture Maxwell will be launched next
year. Nvidia plans to introduce a standard first card for the upper and middle
segment of the market, and the story is a model GeForce GTX 780, GTX 770 and
GTX 760 Ti. The most powerful GTX 780 expected replaces the GeForce GTX 680,
but also brings a more powerful GPU based on the GK110 chip, known from the
prestigious GeForce GTX Titan.
This is a
somewhat milder version GK110, tags Titan LE, on which for some time also
rumored. GeForce GTX 780, according to available information, to have 2,496
CUDA cores and 208 TMU, 40 ROP units, 5 GB of GDDR5 memory, 320-bit memory bus
and cost between 499 and $ 599. Performance should be about 30 percent higher
than the GTX 680
Slightly weaker
GeForce GTX 770 will have a modified version of the graphics chip GK104
(GK104-425), which so far has been the heart of this GTX 680 The card has 1536
CUDA cores, 4 GB of GDDR5 memory and 256-bit bus, and 25 to 30 percent greater
performance than the GTX 670 The price is $ 399. Finally, the GeForce GTX 760
Ti comes with further weakened (new) version of the GK104 chip, version GK
104-225. This is actually a renamed GTX in 670, so that the card will have
1,344 CUDA cores, also a 256-bit memory interface, 2GB of GDDR5 memory and a
suggested price of $ 299. Performance will expectedly increase, by 20 percent
compared to the popular GTX 660 Ti.
