In these is located transmitter implant equipped receiver sends image data resolution 54 pixels, and the electrical impulses stimulate the active cells in the retina where the optic nerves transmit signals to the brain.

On the pages of Second Sight is a short promotional video that explains how to work the implant and the way in which the user sees an image from this path.

Already working on the successor Argus II, which will provide a color image and a higher resolution, but the development will take at least several years.
