Rumors on development smart watch appeared out of
nowhere, and now it seems that every major gadget manufacturer wants to have
his name associated with these upcoming devices. According to Wall Street
Journal, unnamed source which is in charge of supplying Microsoft with hardware
components reported that the “giant” is developing its version of a smart clock
with touch screen.
This gadget would not be the first smart watch in Microsoft’s
history, since the company 2004th product line had a SPOT (shortly
for: Smart Personal Objects Technology), which is a concept conceived in such a
way that the devices that we use every day, such as oven, coffee maker, watches
and other, so smart and are connected with services such as MSN, weather and
stock market reports. SPOT watches were developed in collaboration with Fossil,
but even that did not help that someone buys, so the whole project SPOT 2008th
was abolished.
When everything indicated that the PC markets is
slowly but surely dying, it seems that the big players are looking for
happiness in areas such as consumer electronics. Microsoft currently does not
comment on rumors.
